Headroom from Phoenix, Arizona reminds me somewhat of the band Rush in the early 1980s and caught my attention with their hard hitting drums and vocals. Each song on their debut album “Radio Cries” sound different making it a CD to listen to over and over again and it's better played really loud!
- Melissa Windsor, Rock Thiz Magazine
Headroom’s new album - Radio Cries is one of those albums that has instant classic written all over it yet its fresh and new in style and feel. Unique to this album is the uncanny feeling you have heard each of these songs before creating an old familiar feeling of, “I know I have heard this before” but you haven’t. Exemplary and stellar musicianship – they have gone above and beyond what many may expect of a rock album!
- Mark Lewis, Rock Over America
Strong rhythmic guitar chords and incredibly executed drum beats keep this album rocking. Much like a good book, "Radio Cries" utilizes introductions and conclusions and keeps excessive wording to a minimum. Many surprises lie within the eccentric album making it hard to predict what will come next.

When you take southern rock, elements of ‘60’s and ‘70’s classic rock and mix it with post-grunge the result is Headroom. …their music resembles modern artists such as Nickelback, Black Stone Cherry, and even NOFX. This quartet from Phoenix, Arizona has amazing drum and bass work and shredding guitars – these guys have a vintage sound with modern twists and lots of potential!
- Caeman Amelio, Screamer Magazine
Headroom is a new band whose musical sensibilities sound like they were formed at a Lollapalooza concert in the early '90's... back up to the grunge-era with snarling arrangements that occasionally introduce a hint of prog to the equation.
- Ed Masley, Arizona Republic
...there is something about their music that sounds new and fresh but fondly familiar. Headroom's music is electric and curiously inviting with killer hooks and dynamic hard rock arrangements. The musicianship is cohesively tight and mind-expanding.
- Scott Thomas, Cashbox Magazine
Headroom is a cutting edge and original sounding 21st Century band with few rivals... their album “Radio Cries” is first-rate, loaded with well-written and arranged songs unlike many others we have heard in the past ten years.
- Al Bowman, Los Angeles Music Awards
Some basic concepts in order for a band to capture an audience are the ability to demonstrate a dominating stage presence, have the look to attract all walks of life and of course, have the ability to produce a mind-blowing musical product that draws your full attention. These are basic concepts that seem to come easy to the Phoenix band, Headroom.
